How My Passions Led Me to a New Adventure in Business, Fitness, and Travel
If you know me, you know I wear a lot of hats: wife, mama, first responder, fitness and nutrition coach, entrepreneur, and someone who’s always chasing new experiences. Over the years, I’ve learned that the best way to live fully is to lean into what lights me up—helping others, building something meaningful, and creating memories with my family.
Recently, I said YES to something new. Something that ties perfectly into my passions for coaching, entrepreneurship, and travel. And I can’t wait to share it with you.
Fitness & Nutrition: My First Love
For over 20 years, fitness and nutrition have been at the core of my life. From competing in bikini competitions and powerlifting meets to owning a CrossFit gym, I’ve lived and breathed this world. Coaching others—especially women and first responders—has given me purpose beyond words.
But here’s the truth: fitness isn’t just about sets, reps, or macros. It’s about freedom. Freedom in your body, your health, and your mindset. And now, I’ve realized that freedom extends far beyond the gym.
The Spark of Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship has always called to me. It’s the reason I opened my own gym, the reason I built my online coaching business, and the reason I continue to push myself outside my comfort zone.
What I love most about it? The ability to create my own path. To show my kids that you don’t have to stay stuck—you can design a life that gives you time, energy, and joy.
But here’s the thing no one talks about: being an entrepreneur can also mean sacrifice. I’ve sold things I loved—like my home gym—just to make ends meet and provide for my kids. And while I don’t regret those choices, I know there has to be a better way.
Why Travel?
The other piece of my heart? Travel.
My parents worked extra hours and even sold my mom’s piano so I could travel to Scotland and England for school activities. That sacrifice stuck with me. And it’s why I want to change the narrative for families today.
Travel shouldn’t be stressful. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about whether they can afford their kids’ tournaments, meets, or dream trips. Instead, they should be excited—packing their bags, looking forward to experiences, and creating lifelong memories.
That’s why, when I found a way to tie in my love of fitness, coaching, and entrepreneurship with travel, I knew it was a full-body YES.
My New Business Adventure
I joined Travel Advantage, a membership that gives wholesale rates on hotels, resorts, flights, car rentals, and activities. Think of it like having your own travel fund on autopilot—it gives back your membership in travel credits, dollar for dollar.
Here’s what that means for me:
✅ Lower costs on trips for my family
✅ More freedom to say YES to experiences instead of stressing over money
✅ A business model that aligns with the way I already live—helping others find balance, build confidence, and now… travel more
And the best part? It’s flexible. You don’t have to build a business with it. You can simply enjoy the savings and book more trips. But if you’ve ever had that little spark inside you that whispers, “What if I built something for myself?” — this might be the answer.
Why It Fits My Life So Well
For me, this isn’t just about booking vacations. It’s about tying together everything I’m passionate about:
Fitness & Nutrition Coaching → helping people create strength, health, and balance
Mentorship & Entrepreneurship → guiding others to build confidence, skills, and opportunities
Travel → creating memories, showing my kids the world, and living life outside of routine
It’s about building freedom—financial, personal, and lifestyle.
And honestly? The worst-case scenario if you say yes is that after a year, you’ve got enough credits for a trip for two. That’s a pretty amazing “worst case.”
